Allison Duplain earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Iowa. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Audiology degree at the University of Iowa, with an expected graduation date of May 2026. As part of her training, Allison will complete an externship in pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital from May 2025 to May 2026.
Allison’s passion for audiology stems from her personal experience as two of her siblings were born with hearing loss. She witnessed the invaluable relationship her family built with their audiologist, which inspired her to pursue a career dedicated to supporting patients and their families in a similar way. Allison is committed to being a compassionate listener and strives to offer empathy and understanding throughout the patient care process.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Allison enjoys spending time outdoors and baking, particularly experimenting with her sourdough starter.
